The squares of Rome

Spanish Steps at dusk, Rome, Italy

For this enchanting tour of about 3 hours we will meet at the Spanish Steps, next to the famous staircase, near the Barcaccia fountain.

After a brief introduction on the area, its history and its beauties, we will continue our walk towards the Trevi Fountain, and we will enjoy some well-deserved joy and Dolce Vita admiring one of the 3 "must", when you come to Rome ...

Then, crossing Piazza di Pietra, with the impressive ruins of the Temple dedicated to Emperor Hadrian, we will reach the theatrical Piazza Sant'Ignazio, definitely a jewel, one of the most beautiful and unknown squares of Rome, and we will access the church of Sant'Ignazio, a sacred place and museum at the same time ... That time will be perfect to go to Piazza della Rotonda, enter the Pantheon and enjoy the most preserved monument of Ancient Rome ... Here we will see, among other things, the tomb of the great Raphael and the Dome that inspired Michelangelo to conceive the St. Peter's Dome.

It will also be an ideal place if you want to taste one of the best ice creams in Rome!

For lovers of real coffee we can then stop in Piazza Sant’Eustachio, renowned for its bars where you can enjoy the best espresso or cappuccino, but also an open-air museum ...

Our walk will continue through the wonderful Piazza Navona, its fountains and the church of Sant'Agnese in Agone, then we will head towards the very Roman Piazza Campo de 'Fiori with its traditional market.

We will end our adventure in Piazza Farnese, in front of the elegant Palazzo Farnese, now the home of the French Embassy ... .. just feet away from Trastevere (if you want to go on exploring our treasures ...)

P.s.: Pics are allowed and encouraged!

We all know the Colosseum, but perhaps we know less about the Roman Forum and the Palatine Hill. Camilla has a perfect way to make you "travel" in Imperial Rome, among historical data, curiosities, secrets ... Not only a great day, but also useful, very useful!

As a teacher I tell you: do it!

All my life I taught History and Letters in high school, and I thought that a tour like the Colosseum could tell me little, and in fact I had organized it mostly for my wife and my daughter. Actually, this guide has been able to illuminate some aspects of the life of Roman citizens that were completely unknown to me. We never know enough about Rome.

Before doing this tour of the Vatican I knew that the Sistine Chapel is one of the most important and famous works of art in the world, but I would never have imagined the emotion that entering that place caused me. There are no words to describe it. Thanks Camilla, for your expert and complete guide.

How nice the tour of the squares!

When we think of the squares of Rome we always imagine the most famous ones, such as the Spanish Steps or Piazza Navona. But those who are not from Rome, like me, often do not even suspect how beautiful many other squares of this incredible city can be! I recommend you do this tour with Mrs. Verdacchi, you won't regret it!

Do you want to send me your review?

If you have toured with me and want to say your opinion about it, send your review.

My tours are a constantly working lab, and they can also be "tailor-made"

Both with regards to continuous enrichment of single tours, and with regards to continuous enrichment of the catalogue, my work to make my offer as rich as possible never stops.

Rome offers twenty-seven centuries of history, and many lifetimes wouldn't be enough to tell them all.

In addition to the tours that you can see on this site, I encourage you to contact me for any type of guided tour of Rome and its Province, including usually inaccessible places and wonderful places close to Rome, such as Tivoli with Villa d'Este, Villa Adriana and Villa Gregoriana, Ostia Antica, or the Castelli Romani.
